Sotto earlier said he will push for the establishment of the special court if given another chance to serve as senator.
Sotto was the former chairman of the Dangerous Drugs Board. He created the Special Family Courts and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Sotto said that 50 percent of the cases inside the jail are related to illegal drugs and half of the persons involved in drug cases are innocent.
According to him, there are many drug related cases pending in court that need to be resolved. “May mga kaso nga na umabot na sa five years, pero hindi pa nareresolba,” he said.
Nepomuceno meanwhile said that he supports Sotto’s candidacy and programs. (Reynaldo G. Navales)
