MRSC donates computers to town schools-A A +A

MABALACAT -- Officers of Mabalacat Residents of Southern California Inc. (MRSC), in partnership with the UP Aguman Alumni Foundation Inc., donated Saturday computers and various equipment to 19 public elementary schools in this municipality.
Joseph David, MRSC project manager, said 20 computers, printers, copiers and other network equipment was donated by MRSC Inc. to Mabalacat elementary schools.
"These computers represent our commitment to continue our educational support to the children of our town. We hope these tools encourage the children to continue their education, assist in advancing their curriculum goals, and refine their technical skills," David said.
David said that in behalf of MRSC president Oscar Balilo, and being the project manager, he is deeply honored to participate in this great effort in improving youth education to help create a promising future for them.
"Though we are oceans apart, the bond between our organization and Mabalacat continues in strength," David said.
Rene De Guzman, president of the UP Aguman Alumni Foundation Inc., thanked the MRSC for the donation, saying the UP Aguman is happy to partner with MRSC in making this project a success.
"In behalf o the UP Aguman Alumni Foundation Inc., we thank you (MRSC) for your donation. We will acknowledge receipt and assist to set-up the equipment before they are finally donated to the designated institutions," De Guzman said.
Principal Lucrecia Dizon of San Francisco Elementary School told Sun.Star Pampanga that the computers will be a great help to the 1,300 elementary school pupils of their school.
"These computers will help our pupils enhance their computer training skills and is in response to the Alternative Learning System of the DepEd program. Information Technology is very important in assuring our students are computer literate," Dizon said.
Dizon said their school purchased two computers being used at the Audio Visual Room, adding that the computer donation is most welcome and would even further the improvement of the Information Technology Program of the school.
Also present during Saturday's turnover ceremonies held at Policarpio office in Barangay Dau are principals and teachers of San Joaquin, San Francisco, Marcos, Paralayunan, Mabalacat Central, Dau Central, Sta. Ines, Dau Elementary school and others. (Chris Navarro)
