Showcasing the best in retail, Mags opened the retailers show with$ highlight from its Holiday 2009 and Spring –Summer 2010 Collections.
The show featured Puey Quinones’ show stopping short gowns and cocktail dresses in organza, silk, and tulle couture. Quinones is the designer of choice of Kris Aquino, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Manila and Cebu high society.
Clothier Levenson Rodriguez for Rodriguez de Alba Bespoke highlighted the Filipino man’s metro-sexual side with his clean yet funky apparel.
Fashion Week regular Kenneth Chua showcased femininity for his Spring Summer 2010 line.
Tina Daniac with her signature funky rock and roll dresses brought the atrium of SM City Pampanga down, and Happy Andrada’s signature street wear made the audience go gaga over her avant garde designs.
Top billing the roster of local couturiers, high society couturier Manelle Munar-Chamian opened the show with spectacular gowns in the grandest scale, dubbed as the designers of the elite in Pampanga-Chamian showcased different silhouettes with his fabric-play topped with his signature beadwork. Wowing the crowd, Chamian’s last piece in his chic collection was a fully beaded white gown with a massive wing that almost covered the atrium of the mall’s Newest Wing. Another Capampangan pride, La Casal’s Rosette Biag stepped out of her atelier to exhibit patterns, silhouette play, and artistry, as she paid homage to the feminine form with her cuts and modern collection. Emer Carreon’s creations turned heads as he unveiled his uber-patterned fabrics in different cuts and silhouettes. From bouffant sleeves to spectacular beadwork, Carreon’s show was one of the night’s highlights.
This year’s North Philippines Fashion Show proved to be an assemblage of Pampanga’s upper crust, the stylistas, the region’s upper echelons in business and retail.
The North Philippines Fashion Show at SM City Pampanga- hailed as the heart of fashion and the soul of style in the region, will definitely be a major event this side of fashionable Luzon. (Press release)
