Speaking Out
Wednesday, July 13, 2011
THE newly appointed head of the Clark Development Corporation, Atty. Felipe Antonio Remollo made it clear that he is geared to promote the former US military facility into a premiere investment hub in the north of Metro Manila, strengthen the marketing and promotional efforts in order to be able to persuade local and international business communities to invest in the huge area of Clark Freeport Zone.
With the already mushrooming businesses inside the Freeport zone, Clark has much to offer to the would-be locators under his leadership.

Accordingly, he would review the existing agreements with the locators to further give them proper technical support such as manpower, which will emanate not only from the province of Pampanga but in other areas as well.
With the continuous congestion of Metro Manila, Clark should be promoted as the next business capital of the country, considering its accessibility to different provinces in the region and the availability of transport system such as the Clark International Airport, the North Luzon Expressway and the proposed bullet train from north to Manila which will trim the travel time to at least 30 minutes going to the country's business capital.
Remollo is also considering boosting the promotion of Clark as a tourist destination with the availability of hotels, casinos, golf courses and other businesses which will definitely tease foreign nationals and local tourists to enjoy the splendid environs of the Freeport.
Remollo served as mayor of Dumaguete City. A graduate of Silliman University, he is also the vice president of Prudential Guarantee & Assurance Inc.
Remollo took over the leadership of CDC last April 29 with the newly appointed board directors Ceasar Villanueva (board chairman), dean of the Ateneo Law School; former Comelec chairman Jose Melo; Rapahel Carpio Elum; Danilo Honrado; Ricardo Baron; Manuel Feliciano and Rommel Bondoc.
