Speak Out: Nabuclod, a Tourism Goldmine in Pampanga
Wednesday, February 22, 2012
REGULAR visits of Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda in almost all barangays within the province have made the Capitol closer to the people, most especially the less privileged sector of our society.
In several visits made to Aeta communities in Porac, Floridablanca and Mabalacat during the first term of Gov. Pineda’s administration, Barangay Nabuclod, a hilly terrain east of Floridablanca, was discovered by the Governor as a highly potential tourist spot.

Serious studies were made and gradual improvements of the area were introduced simultaneously with her vision to upgrade the lives of Aeta communities.
During the last Pampanga Day celebration, the search for Mutya Ning Katutubo was launched and became an added attraction on the coronation of Mutya Ning Kapampangan. Shelter, electricity, water system, livelihood, classrooms, and education were addressed by the Governor.
The continuing tree planting activities of provincial government officials and employees under the leadership of Gov. Nanay Pineda and the launching recently of the first cable car and zipline in Nabuclod have made it a popular tourist spot in the province.
The creation of a Nabuclod Eco-Tourism Committee and adoption of comprehensive master plan in coordination with the Department of Tourism and possible partnership with private developers will surely make Nabuclod as a premier tourist destination.
The several view decks constructed on high mountain area will give you a better view of Floridablanca, Lubao and other parts of Bataan, Mt. Arayat and a closer view of Mt. Pinatubo including the zipline and cable car that are being frequented by our kababayans.
More amenities are being constructed for wholesome family entertainment, retreats, picnic, camping, and other group activities. The Governor is not leaving any stones unturned in making Pampanga regain its prominence in terms of economic activities and top tourism destination. Her vision will soon be a reality in making the province a better place to live.
Congratulations Gov Nanay and you can always count on us on any valuable project being undertaken by your administration.
