A SECOND riddle which answer is forthcoming is the presumptive running mate of Governor Lilia Pineda.
This is a long kept secret like Mayor Oca’s unsolved conundrum.
It is my obsessed theorem (in geometry, a principle to be proven) that the wise choice is former board member and Kambilan founding chairman Rosve Henson.
Next only to Vice Governor Yeng Guiao, Engineer Henson is the second political avatar that precipitated Nanay Baby’s successful campaign and in effectively putting away her chief opponent, Among Ed Panlilio.
Yeng is on his way to a possible congressional seat, thanks to Nanay Baby, but Rosve has yet to get his just rewards for his great job in demonizing and later toppling Panlilio.
Nanay Baby should take him as running mate for seamless, incontrovertible reasons. As former Board Member, a master in provincial legislative work, Rosve can steer, oversee, and direct the Sanggunian as effectively and faithfully as Guiao.
That the province will continue to face unending problems due to continuing damages caused by floods, demands a systematic, well-planned and cost effective engineering and rehabilitation program. Rosve is the answer to this requirement. He is an experienced builder and civic engineer.
Gov. Pineda requires an eloquent, credible, and persuasive communicator to defend, explain, and justify her plans and programs. As Vice Governor, Henson can be an ideal alter ego of Nanay, officially the informed voice of her administration. Rosve speaks well, is personable with telegenic looks, and a known savvy with local media practices.
In the event Nanay Babay requires a length trip abroad for official or personal reasons, Vice Gov. Henson is the type of loyal, dependable, and trustworthy man who would not give a problem to the Governor.
Rosve has been proven himself to be efficient, dependable, and trustworthy. He is not a credit grabber and has the humility to work behind the limelight.
Do the other vice gubernatorial aspirants have a track record which have put these attributes to test?
There are a number of efficient and dependable people. What Nanay Baby needs is a person she can trust. Like a Philippine president, the Governor needs only to consider two traits in getting his/her running mate. These are performance and trustworthiness.
All other virtues and assets in men can be bought by the kilo.
You can bet on that.

Business and civic leaders of San Fernando are reviving the lahar-tested Save Pampanga Movement (SPM).
It is an oversight that Mrs. Lolita O. Hizon was not included among the core group who would save the capital city and suburbs from massive flooding and the future disastrous effect of inundation during the rainy season.
Undeniably the Hizon family, whose son Jomar is mayor of lahar-ravaged Bacolor town, are continuously involved in flood mitigation and disaster prevention work in that municipality.
Any workable and comprehensive initiative by the SPM to save San Fernando cannot disregard – or exclude, for that matter -- Bacolor officials, especially Doña Lolita, in their commendable plan for confronting yearly inundation which has become disastrous to the city residents.
Mrs. Hizon whose business offices are located in San Fernando has the resources, initiative, and motivation to contribute ideas and fund support to the SPM.
Never mind that she poses a strong and articulate voice within SPM. Regardless of religious and political beliefs, she will make an effective and dependable partner for SPM.
As the US state department would say, as long the cat catches mice, we do not mind if it is red or white.
Even if SPM does not agree with Mrs. Hizon’s politics or work style, why not use her talents and funds to help in the renascent Movement against floods?
