Carmelite Monastery
-A A +ASaturday, January 5, 2013
HONORING the Divine Infant Jesus of Prague, the Angeles City Carmelite Monastery invites us to their celebration.
Starting January 11 until the 20th, novenas and Masses will be specially said to commemorate the solemn feast day of the Infant Jesus. On January 20, Sunday, the schedule of Masses is as follows:
6:00 a.m. – Rev. Fr. Junjun Agruda, OCD
8:00 a.m. – Most Rev. Paciano Aniceto, D.D.
10:30 a.m. – Rev. Fr. Jerry Orbos, SVD
5:00 p.m. – Most Rev. Pablo David, D.D.
Communicating with Sister Pat Villa, OCD, she said the community of Carmelite nuns greets each one of us. She kindly shared their greetings of prayers with us:
“May Jesus hold you close to His heart during this Blessed Christmas season and throughout the New Year 2013!”
Dacal pung salamat. Thank you to the sisters because they pray for all of us. Gracias for being our light amidst the nights of crisis and challenges.
See you there during the Solemn novenas and/or Mass from January 11 to 20.
New Year
Springing up with insights for the new year, may I share with you this poem by Sophiam Junio:
“Twas the misty, grey January morning
Nobody would come today, nobody really cares
Quietly the green hills shiver in isolation
Untimely is the chill in my bones
Where is the comfort, where is my solace?
How will I live in the next year?
Alleluia! At last I saw the lilac sky, bursting with a lucky thought
Answers to my soloist quest for calmness
Angels sing… shalom and peace shines on your solitary heart
Star from Bethlehem is guiding your life’s journey.
Baby Yesu loves you 365 days…wipe your fears away!
