Blueboy in Poker Game

SINCE its inception last year up to this time, people doubt the seriousness and impact of the vaunted Nepomuceno-Lazatin political alliance in Angeles City.
The tactical move is only a verbal agreement with no force and effect of law.
Certainly the alliance so-called gave Rep. Carmelo Lazatin, candidate for mayor, a psychological advantage over City Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan. It was aimed to create a bandwagon effect.
The superficial perception was that the combined voting strength of the new partners would swamp the incumbent City Mayor in the May polls. Both the allies have their loyal and diehard followers who would vote for their patrons. It taxes belief, however, that anyone of the parties can dictate five or 10,000 voters at will and transfer such numbers to a “kasanga.”
People are inclined to believe that the tactical alliance (with no objection from Blueboy who is the real political figure in the Nepo families) is actually a pact between Lazatin and Robin (Bong) Nepo. If Robin thought his partnership with Lazatin will insure the reelection of his son, Councilor Bryan, he is getting the shorter end of the bargain.
Atty. Bryan, without Lazatin’s support, can win a top place in the Council race.
Underestimating his own strength, perhaps, former city mayor and ex-Rep. Blueboy can win his contest against Vice Gov. Yeng Guiao without Lazatin’s endorsement. Without Tarzan’s help, Blueboy can beat Guiao handily, that’s the reality on the ground.

Blueboy is a quiet but shrewd political operator. He knows the way of the Ninja.
His spies are everywhere in the district and are monitoring if, indeed, Lazatin is actively campaigning for him. If not what is the use of their tactical alliance?
But Blueboy keeps his own pace and fight his battles without depending on Lazatin.
Like Lazatin, Blueboy is also a card player. While Tarzan is known to rely on raw guts during a poker game, Blueboy uses insight to win. He looks beyond the dealt cards.
Blueboy senses he will get elected Congressman. He knows if Tarzan wins as Angeles mayor, where would the dynamic and high performing Pamintuan go?
It is likely Edpam will run for Congress in 2016. He will be a big problem for Rep. Blueboy. Pamintuan beat him with unbelievable margins in their fight in 2010. If Angeles City voters decide the outcome of the 1st District competition, Edpam has that advantage in the expected match.
With that scenario, residents doubt if Blueboy will throw his captive voters to Lazatin. Will not Tarzan’s victory open the door for Pamintuan to fight him (Nepo) after three years?

Public photos of the “allies” are a strategy in psychological warfare. The pictures depict alleged solid unity between the two groups which advance and promote the candidacies of Bryan and Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin in the City council.
Robin surely will deliver his supporters to Lazatin. Will Blueboy do the same and for what reason?
