Leader of the Light

CONQUERING Mount Everest, highest peak, vivifies how a leader overcomes obstacles and challenges.
Mountaineering can crash persons of weaker hearts and stamina.
An outstanding leader must know how to climb the rugged terrain of catastrophe. Thereafter, she or he must smash through the wall of logistical, practical and geographical hardships. Ultimately, she must lead her team of varied talents and personalities so they can stamp their boots through a common path of success and surging triumph.
In Angeles City, Vice-Mayor Vicky Vega Cabigting is a woman who profiles courage. Standing tall on the summit of excellence, she shines like a star of the morning.
Pronouncing these principles, she asserts:
“I call on our citizenry, men and women of honorable intentions who have
the highest ideals of harmony, goodwill and compassion.
You and I are blessed daughters and sons of Angeles City.
Honesty, integrity and upright principles are what your local government
leadership creates from sunrise to sundown.
Yes! Rise up noble, beloved and honorable Angeles City! ”
Her Influence
Serving her constituents as a councilor, thence. as a vice mayor she moved heaven and earth to inspire outstanding public service practice…
Voicing her ideals, she delivered fervent speeches, proposed dynamic ordinances and resolutions and rallied her city mates (cabalen) to ensure that transparency and good governance reign in the heart of Angeles.
Believing in her total and benevolent stewardship, people turn to her for assistance. Herein are their words of appreciation:
Mang Ben K., a 50-year-old driver in Anunas says, ”Mapaniaup yang lider… metung abac kekami ya megalmusal…kayabe miyang minum kape at mengan pandesal… kemustan nakami… kukutang na makananu yang makasaup kekeming drivers. (She is helpful. One morning she ate breakfast with us.
Shared our simple coffee and bread. She asked us how she can help drivers like us).”
Marylou T., a 40-year-old high school teacher in Cutcut utters this sentiment, “Edukasyon ya ing kailangan tamung y punla para keng daratang a bukas…ing buong pamilya nang Mam Vicky sasasup la careng pacacalulung anac … atiu la keng puso mi..
(Education is our precious seed for a progressive tomorrow… the family of Mam Vicky, her father, mother and siblings, assist poor and out-of-school youth. They are live in our hearts).”
Finale
You and I are one in our pursuit of goodness.
Moving together as co-journeyers in the terra firma of bravery, we all can transcend the rocky walls of doubts, darkness and devastation. We have the power in our hands to wipe out the dark night of crisis, thereafter, we can spread the golden dawn of service and benevolence.
Like the brave mountaineers who surmounted the majestic Mount Everest in Nepal (Sir Edmund Hillary- New Zealand and Sir Tenzing Norgray -Nepal) in 1953; their brotherhood shines in our world as a lighthouse of tough physicality and tenacious hearts and spirits.
Enlightened leaders like Vicky Vega Cabigting, who are leaders of the light; they inspire us to ascend the apex of summum bonum (highest good).
To all our readers, for all times, may the sunlight of blessings shine in your hearts!
