Editorial: Worrisome-A A +A

THE ongoing labor strike at the Holy Angel University is a worrisome matter that is actually bordering on the disturbing.
Parents have every right to be anxious about the state of the education their children are supposed to be getting there, now that a number of their professors have joined the picket lines.
A concerned parent wrote to this paper, lamenting about the impact the strike is having on the students, and on the fact that "substitute and even graduating education students are replacements for the teachers on strike."
In short, no proper classes have been conducted at HAU eversince the strike, as far as the parents know. They see it in their children: the lack of activity at the school somehow reflects on them the moment they step into their respective homes.
Parents can sense this. And now, they are having questioning themselves whether they made a right decision enrolling their children at HAU.
We fervently hope that the HAU management settles the issue with this union soon. Or else, the university would be at the worrying end, as far as enrollment is concerned.
