MARCH, traditionally, is fire prevention month. BFP, or Bureau of Fire Protection, is the lead agency tasked with info dissemination on fire prevention.

Mabalacat City Fire Department, headed by Senior Inspector Rodel M. Manuel, the City Fire Marshal, will be engaged in the distribution of leaflets and fliers, conduct fire drills and seminars and house-to-house campaign throughout the city, for the whole month of March, 2014.

The fire department is staffed by the City Fire Marshal, Senior Inspector Rodel M. Manuel, SF02 Richard C. Medina, Chief Operations,
SF02 Dante R. Romero, Chief Admin, FO3 Isagani C. Santos, Plan Evaluator, FO1 Gracelli T. Suba, Collecting Agent and FO1 Joey E. Bagtas, Finance. Obviously, the department is still undermanned, considering the length and breadth of the city. A Ford FMC800 firetruck has been acquired from Angeles City to augment the existing one. A brand new firetruck is a welcome acquisition for the City Fire Department.
