Bus passengers robbed in Mabalacat

A PASAY City-bound Five Star bus (AWA 219) was robbed by five unidentified armed men along the national highway in Barangay Duquit, Mabalacat City over the weekend.

According to police, the suspects pretended to be passengers who boarded at separate places in Dau. They declared the heist near Greenville Resort in Barangay Duquit. They were armed with knives and guns.

One of them pointed a knife at the driver while the others took passengers' valuables. The passengers, one of which is a Korean and one other an American, were left physically unharmed.

However, Rodanet Villano, the bus driver and the unidentified conductor were stabbed by the suspects before they alighted from the bus and moved to a Toyota Innova without a plate number. The two were immediately brought to a nearby clinic and now out of danger.

Mayor Marino "Boking" Morales of Mabalacat City ordered Superintendent Ferdinand Perez to increase police presence at the Dau Terminal to prevent crime incidents in the future.
