MABALACAT -- A total of P600,000 had been donated to victims of two recent typhoons that affected thousands in low-lying areas in Pampanga province.
“It is payback time,” said Mayor Marino “Boking” Morales, who recently turned over the said amount the Angeles City Culiat Jaycees (ACCJI) for the flood victims.

Morales said the amount had been donated by Fontana Resorts and Leisure (P100,000); Tipco (P100,000); Globe Asiatique (P100,000); Jumbo Jenra (P100,000); Willy Tan (P100,000); Rosana Realty (P50,000); and Morales (P50,000).
“We would like to express our gratitude to the management of Fontana Resorts, Tipco, Globe Asiatique, Jumbo Jenra, Rosana Realty and Mr. Willy Tan of Fiesta Communities,” said Morales.
Morales said the town of Mabalacat “was lucky enough to have been spared by the two typhoons.”
“Tayo po ay tumutulong ngayon sa ating mga kababayan upang sila ay makabangon kaagad sa pinsala na dulot ng mga bagyong dumaan,” he said.
Morales recently gave the amount to the officers of the ACCJI in simple ceremonies at the Cafe Mesa inside the Clark Freeport Zone.
The donation fulfilled his pledge to the two-day telethon initiated by Secretary Edgardo Pamintuan to assist countless flood victims in the country.
Morales said Mabalaquenos are ready to “extend a helping hand to the flood victims in these times of crisis.”
The two-day telethon raised several millions of pesos and the Jaycees members are expected to start packing more goods for shipment to Metro Manila flood victims.
