PNRC, SMFI join hands for ‘Gamot Para sa Kapwa’

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) and SM Foundation, Incorporated (SMFI) have joined hands in reaching out to the needy and launched on Tuesday the “Gamot Para sa Kapwa” booth at SM City Pampanga.

According to SM City Pampanga Public Relations Officer Roselle Sarmiento, the PNRC-SMFI booth is an extension of the foundation’s bid to sustain its medical and dental outreach missions as well as its corporate social responsibility programs.

“Benefactors, donors and the kind-hearted can now donate to the undertaking in cash or in kind, especially medicines. They will be accepting donations for the whole month of September and the PNRC will be there to offer free services,” Sarmiento said.

Officials of the PNRC manning the booth told Sun.Star Pampanga they are offering free blood pressure monitoring and blood typing in the booth.

“We also have a CPR demonstration every weekend for the whole month of September as well as information dissemination on the PNRC accidental membership which ranges from as low as P35 to P1,000,” PNRC officials said.

The officials said they would appreciate donations for medicines and other emergency essentials in kind. (JTD)
