CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Director Alfredo Tolentino led the oath-taking of officers and directors of the newly formed DPWH Central Luzon Press Corps.
Tolentino pointed out that with the help of media, DPWH will be made closer to the people and communities.
He said the success of the department does not only depend on its own but also with the cooperation of media.
"No matter how good the department performs, if the same is not communicated to the people it's nothing," Tolentino said.
The officers of the press corps are Frank Olingay (president) Alley Tampus (vice president) Diony Gole (secretary) Cora Tejano (treasurer) Roger Occeno (Auditor) Rico Mijares (liaison officer) Christopher Navarro (chairman, Board of Directors) Fred Roxas (adviser) and Bong Lacson (adviser).
The members of the Board of Directors are Boy Santiago, Joel Mapiles, Alex Adriano, Lyn Laxaman, Rene Sonny Pascual, and Odilon Anicete.
Other members of the press corps are Herbert Mapiles, Antonion Garcia, Roger Surat, Marissa Castaneda, Ruel Tarayao, Alberto Lomibao, Leony Arevalo, Buddy Arevalo, Pete Buluran, Pesie Minoza, Romy delos Reyes, Pablito Tolentino and Jesus Baltazar.
