ANGELES CITY -- A 17-year-old female filed complaints against Royette Padilla at the Women's Desk of the Police Station 4 here on Tuesday.

"Dahil sa ginawa nitong pananakit, pambababoy at pag-rape sa akin." This was the reason cited by a female who filed complaints.

On the same day, Padilla was charged before the City Prosecutor's Office here.

Chief Inspector Rogelio Javier, commander of Police Station 4, said in a report that the case filed against Padilla was rape in relation to Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) docketed under I.S. number III-01-INV-09K-00371.

The girl, a resident of Tondo, Manila, complained that Padilla brought her to Room 30 of Rainbow Apartelle motel at Diamond Subdivision in Barangay Balibago, here and allegedly raped her.

Padilla became controversial sometime in the 1990's for proclaiming himself as a brigadier general of a group he tagged as the H-World United Nations Military Philippine Government International Police Commission.

In her sworn statement before PO2 Christina Ramos of policewomen's desk, the girl said a friend introduced her to Padilla at 1 p.m. last November 9 in front of the Dr. Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital in Manila.

"Pagkatapos na ipakilala ng aking kaibigan si Royette Padilla ay iniwan na ako nito. Namasyal kaming dalawa ni Royette gamit ang sasakyan nitong black (Toyota) Fortuner na may plakang ZMS-156," she said.

She said Padilla stopped twice to buy food from a convenience store and load for his cell phone and continued driving his vehicle.

"Dahil sa haba ng aming biyahe ay nakatulog na ako. Nang magising ako ay tinanong ko kung nasaan na kami at ang sabi ni Royette Padilla ay nasa Angeles City kami," the girl said.

She said Padilla drove towards Rainbow Apartelle motel here around 6:45 p.m. and inside the motel room, she said Padilla ordered food and beer.

After consuming two bottles of "San Mig Light" beer, she said Padilla removed his shirt and pants.

"Nang naka brief na lang ito ay hinahawakan ako sa may baywang at itinataas nito ang aking t-shirt. Nang umiiwas ako at binabawalan ko ito ay nagalit ito at sinampal ako at huwag daw ako umaarte sa kanya," she lamented.

Terrified, the girl said she no longer fought back and Padilla allegedly succeeded in raping her.

While Padilla was asleep around 3 a.m., the girl said she stood up to wear her clothing. "Ngunit ang aking damit ay nakaipit saunan na gamit nito (Padilla)," she said.

The girl said she just grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her body and immediately sneaked out of the room.

"Paglabas ko ng room 30 ay lumusot ako sa gate ng kwarto at nagtago ako sa ibang kwarto. At narinig ko na lang ang makina ng sasakyan nito na papaalis na ito ng motel," she said.

After Padilla left around 4 a.m., the alleged victim sought the help of a motel bellboy who gave her a t-shirt to wear and accompanied her to the Police Station 4.

At the police station several hours later, a correspondent of a national tabloid saw that the girl was wearing only a loose t-shirt and bought shorts for her.

"Nakakaawa kasi yung bata, ilang oras nang nandoon maluwang na t-shirt lang ang suot. Buti may P200 ako sa bulsa at pinabili ko siya ng shorts," the correspondent told Sun.Star Pampanga. (JAM)
