CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The traditional Oca-EdSa Cycling Caravan held Saturday officially started the month-long “Pyestang Fernandino 2013” celebrations in this city.
More than 2,000 bikers from some 40 cycling groups across Pampanga, including volunteers and enthusiasts, pedaled their way in the grueling 95-kilometer run that snaked through the towns of Bacolor, Mexico, Sta. Ana and Arayat. The cycling started past 5 a.m. at the San Fernando City Hall.

CLARK, Pampanga -- Top Junior Golfers from different parts of the Philippines and the Asia Pacific region joined the much-awaited 2nd Annyka Chanel Junior Golf Invitational Tournament held last May 3 at the Mimosa Golf and Country Club here.

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Bryan Eribal III of Barangay Balubad, Porac town retained his world ranking as he finished 17 overall in the recent World-Soft Darts Championship 2012 at the KTEC Kowloon International Trade Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong that was participated in by 128 players from different countries.
Eribal, an endorser of Toby’s sports products, defeated top players from Japan and other nations en route to entering Round 32. The 33-year-old top dart player is the number one in the country.

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Fontillas children - the renowned Karate Kids of the City of San Fernando - kicked and chopped their way to conquer the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC)-sanctioned Batang Pinoy 2012 Karate Championships in Iloilo City on Sunday.
In a phone interview, Deo Fontillas, father of the Fernandino Karate Kids, told Sun.Star Pampanga that 15-year-old Bryan - the youngest member of the national squad Philippine Typhoons - earned two gold medals, while his siblings Christian Jonathan won a gold and a bronze; Jaspher a silver; and young Karate Darling nine-year-old China a gold and a silver in their respective categories.
