CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Capitol sports coordinator Allan Trinidad said that tryouts for the best hoopsters will start Wednesday until Thursday.
Trinidad told Sun.Star Pampanga Tuesday that in line with the joint vision of Governor Lilia Pineda and respected international coach Vice Governor Joseller Guiao to harness the full potential of Kapampangan hoospters, the tryout will seek to identify players for the “Liga ng Pilipinas” basketball tournament.

“The try-outs this Wednesday and Thursday at 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center will determine who will form the Pampanga Team for Liga ng Pilipinas. We are not limiting it to Pampanga but to nearby provinces as well, provided they are not above 29 years of age,” Trinidad said.
He added that basketeers playing in amateur and collegiate leagues could join the tryouts.
“All they have to do is call or text me at 0927 432 2244. Let’s all make Pampanga a name in basketball again just like the famed Pampanga Dragons. The time is now when the provincial government fully supports it,” concluded Trinidad.
