The race track was constructed at a vacant lot in Barangay Pulung Maragul, near the city hall and Marquee Mall.

Local favorites Omer Dunca and Lian Balatbat, both from Angeles City 4-Wheelers' Club, placed second and third, respectively.

Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan, who came to flag off the first driver, said that despite the bad weather caused by typhoon Pedring, "the show must go on."

According to Rosever Pascua, city sports officer, "Angeles City dominated the off-road challenge. Many of our local racers were included in the top 20."

"The participants of the said event also pledged to assist in disaster and rescue operations by lending their vehicles," said Pascua.
