THE Angeles City Street Jam & Party 2009 was an over-all success despite the threat of Typhoon Santi. Devotees of the Twin Hearts of Jesus and Mary (of whom the Twin Fiesta is anchored), implored the latter's aid to drive away the typhoon that was just around the corner.

Everyone was just awed to have witnessed once again, the Lord's miracle, most especially in Angeles City, as the rains stopped in time for the festivity.

Moreover, the seeming peril that lurked that time did not dampen at all, the spirit of every Angeleño and non-Angeleño who were there to enjoy what the entire affair had to offer.

Victory belongs to all stakeholders; namely, the different departments which worked hand in hand with lead organizer, Angeles City Tourism Office (Acto): Angeles City Police Office (Acpo), Angeles City Traffic Management and Enforcement Unit (Actmeu), Angeles City Traffic Enforcement and Transport Monitoring Office (Actetmo), City Engineer's Office (CEO), Environmental Management System-Division Public Services (EMS-DPS), City Health Office (CHO), City Information Office (CIO), Civilian Security Unit (CSU), Force Multipliers: Philippine Air Force-710th Special Operation Wing (PAF-SPOW), Philippine Air Force-600th Air Base Wing (PAF-ABW), Citizen's Crime Watch (CCW), Tropang Crime Watch (TCW), Cobra Community Support Group, Phi Beta Rho, Delirium Security, Tanods from Barangays: Cut-Cut, and Sto. Rosario, major sponsors: San Miguel Brewery Inc., San Miguel Beverages, Globe Telecom, Globe Asiatique, Andok's, and Zest Air, minor sponsors, business establishments, media partners, and all the people who have participated directly or indirectly.

The festivity was relatively peaceful with the combined efforts of Acpo and Force Multipliers. In addition, the launching of the city-wide CCTV Surveillance Project on October 31, by no less than Angeles City Mayor Francis "Blueboy" L .Nepomuceno, was very much timely.

Furthermore, the smooth flow of traffic was due to advance traffic advisories and the traffic scheme brought about by Actmeu and Actetmo.

As each ticket holder entered the event area, he/she was welcomed with a plastic glass of draft beer or a can of Cali Shandy, Globe sim card, Friendship bracelet or Friendship tag/dog tag, and a raffle ticket entitling participant a chance to win a prize from Globe Asiatique.

On top of this, more promos awaited spectators from the different concessionaires in their own stalls. Moreover, each evening was spiced-up with the colorful fireworks display.

Lamp posts along the whole stretch of Service Road's Mon Tang Avenue and Mac Arthur High Way, Barangay Balibago were lit through the efforts of Balibago Business Establishments Association (BBEA) and Angeles City Tourism Office (Acto).

Moreover, sponsors of the Angeles City Street Jam & Party '09, who through thick and thin were one with every Angeleño, generously donated the proceeds of this event for Christmas decors to doll-up the city this December as part of its beautification program.

Indeed, this year's Angeles City Street Jam & Party '09 was a big blessing to one and all.
