GIVING justice to Pauline's death. Or her soul may not find eternal repose.
After almost month since the killing of Pauline Nicole Castro, her murderer(s) remain at large.
And nothing could be more painful to those who love her than a gruesome death and her unsolved case. I could only imagine her family and friends visiting her tomb on All Saint's Day in total grief and possibly anger as her killers remain scot-free.

Pau to her friends, she was knifed to her death 14 times on the night she was celebrating her 16th birthday with some friends. She was killed in that notorious "Butarul" in Barangay Mamatitang, along Macarthur Highway or about few hundred meters away from where they live.

With Pau's unresolved murder case now reaching its fourth week, Mabalacat Mayor Marino "Boking" Morales is compelled to offer a P100,000 reward for substantial and credible information that would lead to the arrest and subsequent prosecution of the criminals.
Actually, there was no need for Mayor Morales to do that since he has been focused on that case since day 1. But he was forced to offer the bounty since the police seemed to be facing blank walls.
Well, in fairness to Mabalacat police, reports have it that they already have few theories that give them suspects too. Thing is, they remain as mere suspects and there were no apprehensions yet.
I was told that police wait for a star witness to surface and corroborate whatever material evidences they have on hand.
Barangay Captain Davidson David of San Joaquin (where Pau and her family reside) is getting impatient too at the slow pace of probe into Pau's death.
Davidson has left no stones unturned as he kept lines open with the police, NBI and the CIDG. But, alas, the futility of it all is making the whole Barangay impatient too.

Whatever happened to the PR (Public Relations) savvy that has been known of the people handling media events for North Luzon Expressway and Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway.
Last Tuesday's press conference called by the Tollways Management Corporation (TMC) was so disorganized. They held it in a crowded conference room where some 40 journalists cramped in. Others were not so lucky as they had no choice but to stand outside the room. Others, sadly, even had to sit on the floor as there were not enough chairs.
Even TMC's own President Ramon Fernandez found it hard to enter the conference room filled not only with media and TMC staff but also cameras and tripods.
Other members of media only have had to give way and go out to make way for Mr. Fernandez when it was his time to speak.
The only saving grace probably was the press release they issued. Otherwise, journalists who covered that press conference were not able to pick any from the presentations made as photographers (understandably, for want of a good angel) obscured the view of the screen.
Gone were the days when MNTC through Marlene Ochoa (and staff) and Dante Velasco arranged so well media events for news worthy events on NLEX/SCTEX? They were not there, if I may clarify that. Had they been, it would have been a different story.
