LINGAYEN -- The Police Provincial Office (PPO) will give recognition Monday to three police stations for their high profile accomplishments recently.
The awarding ceremony will be held after the regular flag-raising ceremony at the PPO.

Police Provincial Director Percival Barba said guest of honor and speaker is Police Regional Director Ramon Gatan.
Recipients of the awards are Sual, Urdaneta City, and Sta. Barbara police stations. Individual awards will be given to the policemen who were involved in the operations conducted.
In Sual town, policemen were able to rescue a five-year-old boy from the hostage-taker named Narciso Mandapat last month.
The suspect was neutralized after nearly 12 hours of hostage drama. He was looking for his wife who left him.
In Urdaneta, the alert team created by the city’s police chief, Rodolfo Castil, was able to arrest four suspected carnappers Mark Rey Bautista, Edwin Solis, Jayson Ceneta, and Arjay Afable at a checkpoint in Barangay San Vicente.
Aside from a Toyota Hi-Ace Van the four had commandeered in Barangay Saitan, Rosario, La Union, also recovered from the suspects were a caliber .45 pistol with magazine and six live ammunition, two packaging tapes, and two bags containing their clothes.
Meanwhile, Sta. Barbara policemen led by Chief Inspector Eric Noble arrested American fugitive Joseph Arriola in a house where he and his Filipina fiancée were staying in Barangay Cablong in the town. (LCMY/Sunnex)
