DAGUPAN CITY -- Aimee Flor Romero of Barangay Lucao here won the search for Miss Dagupan 2008.

Romero bested 21 other candidates during the pageant night last December 20 at the city plaza. She was also adjudged as best in swimwear and long gown.

The coronation night will be held on December 26.

The runners-up were Agnes Santiago (first), Arleen Tamondong (second), Lorievine Tinte (third), and Maria Lotis Vallejos (fourth).

Jennifer Barrozo was Miss Photogenic and Miss Smart/Globe, Fritzie Gaile Lavide was Miss North Luzon Aquaculture, Agnes Santiago was Miss Congeniality, Almea Doisse Dizon was Miss Health Care, and Tinte was also Miss PLDT.

Meanwhile, other fiesta activities in the offing include the Barangay Night on December 27; Fiesta ed City High and Dagupan City National High School Homecoming (December 28); Gilon! Gilon! ed Pukok, Rotary Night, and Dalton Night (December 29); and Rizal Day celebration and Pawil Dagupan Night (December 30).

There will be fireworks display midnight of December 30, a tradition that is being done in the city as it welcomes the New Year. (LCMY/Sunnex)
