I am so elated to hear about
I am so elated to hear about an "All-women marathon" being held in the Philippines. I think is is great! Not many countries in the world conduct such event.
However, I would like to make a correction. The word marathon as it relates to athletics means 26.2 miles or 42 kilometers. When one say 'I ran in the marathon, I mean I ran the full 26.2 miles.' I ran in the half marathon (13.1 miles)a couple of years ago here in the US, but I can't say I ran in the marathon.
Your article should have read 3-K (kilometer) or 5-K run
