“We suggest you to come in outdoor attire fit for the activity to make you feel comfortable during the activity which include river cruise at the cleanest river in the country and some forms of water sports activities,” the invitation from the Provincial Information Office stated.
“A provincial tourism bus will transport you back and forth to the location for your comfort and safety,” said Provincial Information Officer Butch Velasco.
Travel to Bolinao from Lingayen will take about one and half hour.
Velasco said each participating member of the media and other volunteers is enjoined to plant 10 mangrove seedlings at the dug holes located at Punta Riviera Resort in Barangay Malino, Bolinao.
The mangrove seedlings will be provided by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.
Governor Amado Espino Jr. will lead the activity, which will also be participated by other provincial officials and municipal officials.
Meanwhile, the 1st Pangasinan Tourism Assembly will be held Monday at the Sison Auditorium.
Among others, local government units and other tourism stakeholders will be given orientation on Republic Act 9593, otherwise known as the Tourism Act of 2009. The Aquino government is pushing for the strict implementation of the said law.
In Pangasinan, Espino has been advocating for Pangasinenses to be the first to visit or tour other towns and cities in the province.
Timed with the Tourism Month celebration was the launching of the “I Love Pangasinan” campaign and the “Luyag ko tan Yaman” Pangasinan hymn.
Espino and the Provincial Tourism Office led the campus tour, which will be continued even after the Tourism Month.
The governor said there are many ways to show love for the province, but the most important thing is the preservation of Pangasinan dialect that symbolizes genuine patriotism among Pangasinenses.
He said Pangasinenses must profess their love for the province by taking pride of their roots. (LCMY/Sunnex)
