LINGAYEN, Pangasinan -- Three persons were arrested by police in separate towns of Pangasinan for illegal possession of firearms, ammunition, and explosives.
The arrest came after lawmen simultaneously served search warrants in the suspects' respective houses early morning of August 1, the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) said Wednesday.
The suspect was identified as Jessie Naval Javier, 54, farmer, and resident of Baybay village, Aguilar, whose houses were served two separate search warrants.
The first operation resulted in the seizure of five ammunition for caliber 5.56 rifle (Armalite), and one M-203 grenade was seized in the second operation.
Marvin Orlanda, 33, a resident of Zaragoza village, Bolinao, yielded one homemade caliber .38 revolver with four live ammunition.
Also arrested was Jimmy Esteban, 47, following the seizure of one caliber .45 pistol with magazine containing two live ammunition from his house in San Maximo village, Natividad.
The suspects will be charged with illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
Javier will also be charged with illegal possession of explosives. (PNA)
