PMA examinations today

DAGUPAN CITY -- The nationwide Philippine Military Academy (PMA) entrance examination will be held today (Sunday) starting 7 a.m.

In Pangasinan, the exam center is at the Dagupan City National High School located at Tapuac District.

PMA Deputy Assistant Chief-of-Staff for Personnel Carlo Resurrection said that in Pangasinan, there are 370 applicants whose documents or requirements were processed on or before the August 21 cut-off date.

As the exam booklets are limited, Resurrection said 30 walk-ins will be entertained. More walk-ins will be admitted if there will be applicants who will not be able to come and take the entrance exam.

He said two weeks after the entrance exam, all passers will receive a notice; indicated thereat is the hospital where they will undergo physical examination.

Successful examiners will also be informed of the requirements to bring during the duration of the physical examination.

Last year, there were 250 who took the entrance exam here in the province. The percentage of passers however is low.

Resurrection said PMA aspirants who did not pass the entrance exam could retake until he passes it, but his age should not be more than the 21 years.

PMA’s campaign slogan is “Be a PMA, be a scholar, be a leader”.

Several PMA first year cadets were in the province for several days conducting campaign tour and visits at police stations.

Last Thursday, they paid a courtesy call to Governor Amado Espino Jr. and later toured around the Capitol grounds and at the Capitol building.
