On December 21, just four days shy of Christmas, Honda Cars-Cebu gave a special Jollibee treat to some 30 kids of the Balay sa Pag-ampo Foundation in Sitio Cantipla, Barangay Tabunan, Cebu City.
Honda Cars-Cebu has been holding this activity every year as part of the corporate thrust towards social responsibility. This year they have selected the kids from Cantipla to be their beneficiary.
The firm wanted an institution to be a recipient of their activity this year, said Ferderiz Cantiller of Ayala Foundation.
Cantiller said Honda Cars has chosen Balay sa Pag-ampo Foundation since, compared to other institutions, the kids from Cantipla are the most likely ones who rarely visit the city.
Excited
And so, a big surprise awaited the kids.
What they only knew was that they would be attending a Christmas party in the city. Little did they know it would be a Jollibee treat.
Kids were so excited as they dressed up for the event and waited for their transportation to pick them up and send them off to the venue.
And much to their delight, they were brought to Jollibee-Gaisano Country Mall branch.
At about 3:00 p.m., the party started and the kids began to have fun. They played games and shared a bountiful merienda with their friends.
Happy faces were seen in every corner as the kids enjoyed every second of their special treat.
And like any moment, there came an end. But though the party ended, the kids went on their way home with this one memorable Christmas to keep in their hearts. (JRF) |
