Final Panagbenga activities
AFTER the colorful, lively Mardigras-type of parade with crowds milling about along the main thoroughfares last weekend, activities for the next two weeks heats up in different venues.
Immediately after the parades, Session Road, the city’s main road, was closed to vehicular traffic until March 5, from 6AM to 12MN, for ‘Pan-aaspulan (Session Road in Bloom),’ an Ibaloi word for meeting place, with stalls and diverse wares for spectators and customers’ scrutiny. (more...)

2 versions of 11th Panagbenga
THIS year, two groups decided to offer separate versions of Baguio's crowd-drawing Panagbenga Flower Festival.
The split came after Mayor Braulio Yaranon issued Administrative Order 212 on Oct. 21, 2005, retaining the services of the Baguio Flower Festival Association (BFFA), led by businesswoman Nelia Cid, which handled last year's flower fest. (more...)
