MY
MOST UNFORGETTABLE VALENTINE
The day of
hearts is just around the corner. In that spirit, Sun.Star Weekend
asked a few readers on their most unforgettable Valentine's Day.
JR de la Calsada,
model:
"My most unforgettable Valentine's Day was last year;
that was the time when my GF said her yes to me after months of
begging."
JP de Ayala, student:
"It happened a year ago. He picked me up at a friend's
place then brought me to a restaurant behind Cebu Doctor's. Then
he left to be with his girl. I ended up puking because I got so
drunk somewhere else. From then on, I swore off Valentine's from
my calendar."
Krista Pido, copy
writer:
"It wasn't a date, but an experience that when I remember
it my impulse is to reach for a paper bag and put it over my head.
When I was 15, I gave my crush a bunch of bougainvilla ..."
Chat Alo, airline
manager:
"Overnight in Sabin beach resort in Ormoc last year. Why?
Because I was with the love of my life and it was the last time
that I would share with him."
Anna Lee Sol,
singer:
"I had an out-of-town show, and in the middle of our favorite
song, I was given three blue roses. I wasn't expecting he would
come for he had work. But he came to the show to personally give
me the roses."
Achinnete Villamor,
student editor:
"My only Valentine date was a hunk who plied me with roses
and wine but he had an IQ below sea level and all throughout dinner,
he talked of his car, phone, and how he gets the kicks inviting
his friends at his own funeral. Yes I survived the night and came
with a conviction that men are only a generation away removed
from his tree-swinging ancestors."
June Rabin, deejay:
"A bunch of dateless girls including myself decided
to hang out in one of our local beaches and did some bonding.
Talked about good guys, bad guys, all kinds of guys. It was great!"
