MELVIN Gumban continues to show signs of promise following a unanimous decision win over Fernando Ocon in the main event of Cobra Tunay na Lakas Boxing last Saturday night at the Mandaue City Plaza Square.

All three judges saw Gumban as the winner with scores of 97-92, 96-93 and 95-94.

HOLY Child School of Davao (HCSD) held strong in a close game to defend its PBA Youngstars Championship in the Davao City leg. Choking the final few seconds of the game by capitalizing on fouls by their opponent, HCSD posted a 76-70 win over the Phoenix selection team.
