2 drug pushers nabbed in motel's parking lot By Guillermo C. Tejida III
JOINT operatives of the city police Drug Enforcement Unit and City Mobile Group on Saturday arrested two Bacolod residents for alleged possession of suspected shabu.
Arrested during a buy-bust operation at around 2 a.m. at the parking space of Jade Court II in Barangay Alijis were Nilo Aguilar, 62, of Barangay Singcang-Airport, and Johnny Preta, 56, of Purok Paghidaet, Barangay Tangub.
Their companion, May Navarro, 20, also a Bacolodnon, was released as she was not involved in the transaction.
Senior Insp. Clarence Dongail, DEU and CMG head, said the suspects were supposed to be entrapped in Room 50 of the motel.
However, the police poseur-buyer conducted the deal in the suspects' vehicle, a maroon Isuzu single-cab pick-up.
The suspects were arrested as they handed a large plastic sachet of suspected shabu, weighing at most six grams, to the police asset.
Also recovered were a big plastic sachet containing illegal drugs, two marked hundred peso bills, improvised tooters, weighing scale, pair of scissors and three disposable lighters.
The suspects, who are now detained at the lock-up cell of Police Station 8, will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, Dongail said. |
