Australian national stabbed
By Robert L. Bacasong

AN AUSTRALIAN national was stabbed by three unidentified persons in Rizal-Lacson streets at 1:45 a.m. Sunday.

The victim, Thomas David Roy, said that the three men attempted to rob him but he refused to hand over his backpack.

Roy, who is billeted at Star Plaza, Rizal St., was injured in the abdomen.
The perpetrators eventually fled.

Investigators, SPO1 Felimon Roderes and PO3 Claro Gordoncillo, are determining the identity of the persons involved.

Roy is now confined at the Riverside Medical Center.

In another report, a resident of Purok San Roque, Barangay Tangub was arrested after he injured three persons at a store in Tangub highway.

The suspect, Benjie Patilla, 22, struck Sammy Onobia with a bottle of beer on the nape.

He also allegedly stabbed Larry Onobia and Marlon Deocera.

Reports said the other customers immediately left without paying their bills because of the incident.

Patilla, however, denied injuring the three.

He pointed at a certain "Boyet" and "Lelot Gargar" as the ones responsible for stabbing the three.

Patilla is now detained at the lock-up cell of Police Station 8.
