Capitol eyes to adopt reorg system of Isabela province By Avelyn Z. Agudon
NEGROS Occidental Gov. Joseph Marañon is eyeing to adopt the reorganization system of Isabela province that reduced the cost of personnel services by 28 percent.
Marañon, who visited Isabela last week, said that through the reorganization, the northern Luzon province was able to save P7 million a month which it used to fund its free hospitalization and medicine program.
He said Isabela province offers 50 percent additional incentives in the availment of the early retirement program.
"I plan to adopt the same program soon," the governor said.
In the meantime, Mara¤on said, he will look for a funding agency that could provide the provincial government a low interest loan for the upgrading of the facilities of its different district hospitals.
The governor said at least P300 million is needed for the project implementation.
Each district should have a district hospital with complete facilities to cater to the needs of its constituents, he said, adding that free medical insurance will also be given to the less-privileged Negrosanons. |
