Cities to construct booths in Mambukal By Avelyn Z. Agudon
DIFFERENT cities in Negros Occidental will set up theme booths in Mambukal Mountain Resort to serve as an added attraction to the resort's re-opening in summer of next year.
Gov. Joseph Marañon, who met with the mayors Monday, said the booths will depict the tourism and cultural attractions of each city.
Each city will spend for the construction of booths, which will take place between March and April.
Cities which committed to construct their booths are Himamaylan, Bago, Kabankalan, Sipalay, Silay, Talisay and San Carlos City.
Moreover, the governor said the Provincial Government is expected to spend P20 million for the renovation of the mountain resort, including the reconstruction of the one-kilometer road going to the resort.
The resort will be closed to the public until the renovation is completed. |
