Search for outstanding La Salle alumni on

The University of St. La Salle has launched “The Search for Outstanding Alumni” as part of the institution’s Jubilee Year Celebration which started in July.

Bro. Martin Simpson, FSC, alumni relations director, said the nominees should all be graduates of USLS in either elementary, high school, college, graduate school, and law school levels.

They should possess good moral character and should have produced outstanding positive contributions to the country, province, or in his or her specific area of expertise.

Awards shall be given in the following areas: business/entrepreneurship, professional, non-government service (NGO), education, religious, military, media, arts and culture, athletics, and science and research.

Nomination forms are available at the USLS Alumni Relations Office with tel. no. 4341189.

Deadline for submission of nominations will be Feb. 15.

Alumni homecoming

All USLS alumni are invited to attend their Jubilee Homecoming Dec. 28.

The activity will begin with the 8 a.m. motorcade to be followed by the Food Fair on Campus.

Moreover, awards will be given to “old-time” teachers and staff.

Following the 5:30 p.m. mass at the University Chapel, there will be an evening program and a Band Concert Party with special guests Joel Torre and Ronnie Lazaro, Mitch Valdez, Aubrey Miles and Jimmy Fabregas, all alumni of the university.
