By Robert L. Bacasong

TWO alleged notorious robbers were captured by personnel of Police Station 6 yesterday evening in Gonzaga Extension, Doña Juliana Subd., Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City.

The suspects, who were arrested at 10:25 p.m., were identified as Teddy Garcia, 33, of Brgy. Estefania, and Arlon Almendras, 31, of Purok Masagana, Brgy. 6, both in Bacolod City.

Police said the suspects have pending cases for robbery/ hold-up, illegal possession of firearms, and usurpation of authority.

Police records further showed the suspects are linked to the hold-up incident involving Raffy Dadal, 26, of Sta. Fe, Brgy. Estefania Tuesday evening in Rosario-Lopez Jaena streets.

The suspects’ intention did not however materialize as there were bystanders around the area.

Two complainants from Villamonte also told the police the suspects were the ones who held them up by identifying themselves as police officers.

Police recovered from Garcia’s possession a homemade .38 caliber snub nose revolver without serial number, five live ammunitions, a police badge, an auxiliary ID, and a shirt; a cellphone, professional driver’s license, a lighter and a Yamaha Crypton 110-cc motorcycle.

From Almendras’ possession, police seized a non-professional driver’s license, security guard ID, P70 cash, identification papers as confidential agent, and an improvised tooter with traces of suspected shabu.

Both suspects are now detained in Police Station 6.

Garcia said the items recovered from him were not his.

Moreover, Garcia claimed he contributes information to the city police Drug Enforcement Unit.

Insp. Jonathan Lorilla, DEU chief, said he met Garcia once but he does not know the suspect’s personal life./RLB
