Pontevedra studes top Sarap Mag-quiz

STUDENTS of Pontevedra National High School booked first and third places in the elimination of the “Sarap Mag-quiz sa Barkadahan” held last week in Pontevedra town.

Placing first in the high school level was Mark Anthony Osorio while at third place was Ritchel Casidsid who were coached by Juanito Gonzales.

Angelito Sarad of San Isidro National High School, who was coached by Cornelio Sumagaysay, placed second.

In the elementary division, the Janet Genobis-coached Precious Ella Joy Gregorio of Antipolo Elementary School topped the competition.

Gregorio was followed by Felipa Mae Estoria of Pandan Elementary School, second, who was honed by Geldoria Atesora.

Next to Atesora was Mary Joy Pialda of Pontevedra North Elementary School who was coached by Mildred Escober.

“Sarap Mag-quiz sa Barkadahan” is part of the Barkadahan sa Kwatro Distrito, the annual fiesta project of former Ambassador and Mrs. Eduardo Cojuangco, Jr. and 4th District Rep. and Mrs. Carlos Cojuangco for the towns and cities of the fourth district.

The Pontevedra winners will compete with those from the other local government units of the district in the grand finals set in the town on May 8.

The grand finals will be part of the “Barkadahan sa Pontevedra” which will feature Manila showbiz personalities and entertainers.
