Gitano’s son-in-law undergo lie detector test

THE son-in-law of Provincial Board (PB) Member George Gitano underwent lie detector test last week as part of the investigation on the death of the former’s wife.

Gitano told Sun.Star that Thaddeus Lucero, husband of his daughter, Gardie Marie, 25, underwent lie detector test together with three others before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

Gitano’s daughter, who works as a pharmacist of Mercury Drug Store in Jaro, was lying dead in her bed covered by a blanket when the police found her body at 10 a.m., last June 9.

The board member said the polygraph test is their only hope after toxicological test earlier yielded negative result.

Gitano, president of Negros Occidental’s Liga ng mga Barangay, believes his daughter did not die of natural death but was murdered.

Gitano reiterated they are still in the dark as to the motive of the killing of his only daughter as there was no sign of forcible entry in her rented room except for one broken jalousie.

The police had to break into the victim’s room after her co-employee called her boarding house to inquire why Lucero failed to turn up for work.

Her boardmates tried to open her front door which was locked.  They then tried to awaken her but she did not respond.

Suspecting that there was something wrong, they called up the police.

When the police and Lucero’s husband entered her room, they found her lifeless with injuries on her face and shoulders. AZA
