2 men, cop injured in mauling in bar
By Roberto L. Bacasong

TWO persons were injured in a mauling case that occurred Saturday dawn inside Quadnet Bar, La Salle Avenue, B.S. Aquino Drive, Bacolod City.

Operatives of Police Station 2 identified the victim and suspect, respectively, as Reneil Gonzaga 24, of Barangay Taculing, and James Reyes, 18.

Gonzaga told police he was having a drinking spree inside the bar together with friends Jose Lim, Richard Huan, Mariano Ting and Bebot Yap when Reyes, along with his two unidentified companions, approached them armed with a steel pipe and a billiard stick.

Police reports said that Reyes allegedly mauled Gonzaga causing injuries to the victim's face and tongue.

Gonzaga further alleged that Reyes also threw a bottle of beer at their table.
When the commotion occurred, bystanders at the Taste Station Bar mauled Reyes resulting to injuries in the different parts of his body.

SPO 1 Jerry Senoro, on the other hand, was reportedly injured when Reyes resisted being locked up at Police Station 2.

Injured, too

In another report, three persons were also injured Sunday due to mauling.

Police Station 1 personnel identified the victims as Cristina Patriz, 24, of Gold Tree, Barangay Bata; Raymund Teodoro, 26, of Purok Rodriguez, Barangay 35; and Ramon Rivera, 30, of Sta. Clara Subdivision Phase II, all in Bacolod.

Patriz told the police she was boxed by Daniel Tubongbanua, 27, of Jose Miguel Village, Barangay San Jose, Sipalay City along Gonzaga Street.

Teodor, on the other hand, said he was mauled by Eman Unida at 2:10 a.m. Sunday inside the 247 Restaurant and Refreshment in Lacson-San Sebastian streets.

Rivera said he was mauled by rugby boys while he was inside the public plaza.
The suspects were Nory Tabujara, 22, and Teddy Valencia, 23, both of Barangay 10, Bacolod. RLB
