3 nabbed in drug-bust

JOINT operative of Police Station 2 and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) separately arrested three persons in a buy-bust operation Sunday and Saturday in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2, Bacolod City.

The suspects were Suzette Takaisan, 42, and Ana Marie Relado, 27, both of No. 8 Torres compound, Barangay Singcang-Airport; and Roger Gonzales, 32, of Purok Ylac, Barangay 1, all in Bacolod.

Recovered from Takaisan and Relado, who were collared at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, were an elongated sachet of suspected shabu.

The suspects were apprehended by SPO2 Freddie Natividad together with troopers of the 603rd and 604th Regional Mobile Group.

Seized from Gonzales, on the other hand, was a small sachet of suspected shabu, P100 in marked money and two elongated sachets of shabu.

He was apprehended at 2:30 a.m. Saturday by PDEA operatives led by Insp. Joemarie Occeño, PDEA provincial chief.

All suspects are currently detained at the lock-up cell of Police Station 2.

Illegal gambling

In another report, SPO4 Sergio Pormento, Station 2 deputy commander, arrested 12 persons for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 or illegal gambling last Friday afternoon.

Those arrested in Barangay 8 were Cyrus Empasi, 22, and Zener Kipaya, 34.
They were caught playing "bug-oy".

Confiscated from them were P82.50 in bet money and shells (batad) used in the illegal game.

Those who were caught in Revira Gatuslao St., on the other hand, were Dondon Borris, 27, of Barangay 8; Juan Catacutan, 22, of Jalandon; Raymond Plesis, 24, of Barangay 4; Jerry Taudtod, 27, of Barangay 6; Eliseo Maelaya, 22, of Barangay 4; Jenel Espinosa, of Barangay 4; Rey Alegtia; Ricky Ocampo, 23; Renato Diamante, 26; and Jerry Lopez, 30, all of Barangay 6, Bacolod.

Confiscated from them were P165 in bet money and shells.

The suspects are detained at the lock-up cell of Police Station 2. RLB
