Ka Frank tags Sodusta war freak
PRIEST-turned-rebel leader Frank Fernandez tagged Tuesday Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Sodusta, commanding general of the 303rd Infantry Brigade, as a "war freak."
Fernandez, in a press statement, said Sodusta is a show-off, impressing President Arroyo and her brother-in-law Ignacio "Iggy" Arroyo who both won in Negros Occidental in the May 10 elections.
Malacañang said Arroyo will lead by 1.1 million against closest rival Fernando Poe Jr. of the Koalisyon ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino.
Her brother-in-law, on the other hand, was proclaimed winner in the congressional race in the 5th District of Negros Occidental.
Sodusta earlier challenged the New People's Army (NPA) for a gun-battle anywhere.
The rebel leader also said that after Sodusta made a public pronouncement that the NPA's strength has weakened, he (Sodusta) is now asking for additional troopers for a war against the communist rebels.
Sodusta, he said, is "blind and deaf" on the people's call that militarization is not the answer to address the insurgency problem in Negros. The answer is land, work and food.
Fernandez further said he expects more "war crimes" and human rights violation. He vowed that the NPA would launch a justifiable revolution for the interest of the people. AZA
