History quiz set

FIVE secondary schools in Bacolod City will compete in the First Bacolod History Quiz on October 9, at 3 p.m. at the fountain area of Robinson's Place-Bacolod, disclosed Councilor Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, chair of the 66th Charter Day Anniversary Committee.

The top five schools emerging from the elimination rounds on October 8 at the BAY Center will move on to the final round at Robinson's where a computer-generated quiz program will be used.

The questions will all delve on Bacolod's history so that way we can encourage everyone, especially the young, to pay particular interest to our history as a city, Batapa said.

The quiz is one of the activities in celebration of Bacolod's 66th Charter Day Anniversary on October 19 and the 25th Masskara
Festival from October 1 to 19, she added.

The project is being sponsored by 92.7 Oldies Radio, Sharp Philippines Corporation, SuperCat, JC Martin-VSB Mall, the School for Creative Beginners, JVS Audio System, Alba Sign, IEC Computers, Bilbo Restaurant, Conee's Caldereta and Cansi House, Office of Lawyer Marvin Tañada, GMYXX Digital Glamour Photo Studio, Murcia Leisure Club and Bacolod Camia Jaycees.
