DEFENDING champions St. Scholastica's Academy, La Consolacion College-Main and Bacolod Tay Tung High School gained a slot for the championship in the junior girls, elementary boys and girls divisions, respectively, of the NOPSSCEA meet.

The SSA girl spikers were on the waiting list and will see action against the Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod baby Eagles at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Bacolod covered court.

The baby Eagles gained the finals slot after beating St. Theresita's Academy last Sunday at the UNO-R gym, 23-25, 25-20, 25-16.

STA settled for third place.

The University of St. La Salle Bacolod Baby Stingers, on the other hand, were trounced out by the Eagles last Saturday and settled for the fourth place, 25-19, 25-16.

The boys and girls squad of LCC will also gird for the finals.

Defending champion LCC boys squad will face last year's first runner-up Queen of Peace first thing in the morning this Saturday.

They defeated the SSA squad last Sunday, 25-15, 14-25, 25-18 to gain the finals berth. SSA settled for third place.

SSA defeated St. Theresita's Academy on Saturday via default. STA settled for fourth place.

Defending champion in the elementary girls division, Tay Tung, will face the LCC gals at 9 a.m.

LCC advanced in the finals by beating 2003 first runner-up St. Francis of Assisi School last Saturday, 25-17, 25-16. ST. Francis ended third.

The Tay Tung gals also defeated the St. Francis spikers last Saturday, 25-12, 25-21.

The University of St. La Salle baby Stingers, on the other hand, retained their crown in the junior boys volley by beating the UNO-R Talisay squad last Sunday, 21-25, 25-22, 25-18.
