Batobalani aikido seminar set

THE Dangayan Singkaw Aikido Shinzui Group, Philippines will host an aikido seminar to be conducted by Jun Batobalani Sensei, 6th of dan Aikikai on February 12-13.

The event will be held at the Body and Mind Fitness Center, 4/F Gimore IT Center, Gilmore Ave. cor. 1st St., New Manila, Quezon City, near Gilmore LRT 2 station, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

The seminar is set in celebration of the grand opening of their new dojo.

Batobalani Sensei is also a 3rd dan Aiki Toho Iai and chief of instructor of Dangayan Singkaw-Aikido Shinzui Group, Philippines.

Subjects to be covered will include Taijutsu (body arts)/empty hands), bokken (wooden sword), jo (short staff), sarrukod (short stick), and iaido (drawing of the sword).

The two-day seminar will be in total six sessions. Registration fee is P1,000 for two days and P950 for early registration and P700 for one day.

All yudansha (black belts), who will register for two days including early registrants, are entitled to attend the Special Yudansha Keiko on February 11 at 7-9 p.m.

Regular practice session at the Body and Mind Fitness Center Dojo is every Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30 - 8 p.m. and Saturday, 2-4 p.m.

The other DS-ASGP dojo is located at Kirby Fitness Studio, Marketplace Mall, Kalentong, Mandaluyong City with practice at Tuesday and Thursday, 4-5:30 and Sunday 2-4 p.m.
