Drug pusher arrested in Victorias raid By Claudine C. Dumalag
JOINT operatives of the Anti-Illegal Task Force, Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force (AIDSOTF), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Victorias City police station arrested a suspected drug pusher in a raid in Victorias two days ago.
The raid was headed by Senior Insp. Rico Santotome, head of AIDSOTF and PAITF by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Reynaldo Alon of the Regional Trial Court Branch 40.
Operatives conducted a search inside the residence of Kenneth Batisla-ong, 22, of Remedios, Canetown Subdivision, Victorias at 6:30 p.m. last Tuesday.
The search resulted to the recovery of five marijuana cigarettes, one unit of cellular phone, six pieces of aluminum foils, pairs of scissors and other drug paraphernalia.
Supt. Modesto Sanson, police chief of Victorias, disclosed the suspect was included in the drugs watchlist of the city police.
Reports said Batisla-ong got his supply of marijuana and shabu in Bacolod City.
Barangay councilman Rodolfo Besana witnessed the raid.
The suspect was detained at the Victorias police station and will be charged with violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
