Jufimac, Falcons rule MA tilt
* Jungle Fighters Martial Arts Club is under Deomedes Mamugay Sensei while Black Falcon Martial Arts Association-Main is under Joery Amante
THE Jungle Fighters Martial Arts Club (JUFIMAC) and the Black Falcon Martial Arts Association (BFMAA)-Main each secured four wins to rule the 1st San Carlos City Wushu Sanshou and Kickboxing Interclub Tournament held last March 11.
The event was held at the San Carlos City Auditorium, San Carlos and hosted by Jufimac and the Centralian Fighters Martial Arts Club (CEFIMAC) of Deomedes Mamugay Sensei in cooperation with BM Entertainment.
Ten martial arts organizations from the cities of Bacolod, Canlaon, and San Carlos figured in six wushu sanshou, 10 kickboxing matches, three exhibition fights and three martial arts demonstrations.
Overall results
Wushu Sanshou - Jungle Fighters Martial Arts Club (champion), four wins; Centralian Fighters Martial Arts Club and Roaring Panther Self Defense Society (second place), one win each.
Kickboxing - Black Falcon Martial Arts Association-Main (champion), four wins; Modern Combat Taekwondo Club (second place), two wins; Centralian Fighters Martial Arts Club, Combat Judo Karate Martial Arts Club, Jungle Fighters Martial Arts Club, and Roaring Panther Self Defense Society (third place), one win each.
Participating organizations were Black Falcon Martial Arts Association (BFMAA)-Main of Wushu Federation of the Philippines (WFP)-Negros coordinator Joery Amante, Centralian Fighters Martial Arts Club (CEFIMAC) of instructor Johnmar Palabrica, Combat Judo Karate Martial Arts Club (COJUKA) of Flor Soronio Shihan and chief instructor Cesar Ritalla, Conceptual Martial Arts Society-Bacolod Main of WFP-Negros PIO James U. Sy Jr., Hae Kung Fu Circular Formula Martial Arts Club (HKFCFMAC) of Hipolito Andrade and chief instructor Evangelito Algarme, Jungle Fighters Martial Arts Club (JUFIMAC) of Mamugay and instructor Jerry Nodnod, Modern Combat Taekwondo Club (MCTC)-Canlaon City Chapter of president retired PNP Lt. Col. Epifanio Mercado Sr. and instructor Joerdan Oca, Roaring Panther Self Defense Society (RPSS) of chief instructor Ricaredo Panunciar, Sipaway Island Fighters Martial Arts Club (SIFMAC) of chief instructor Florentino Aliganga, and Tapondo International Federation Inc.-Negros of instructors Danny Lopez and Florencio Yap.
