Globelines on top spot in bowlfest
CLASS '73 Globelines reclaimed the Number one position in Class A division, as Faculty still holds the top position in Class B department, of the ongoing "Negros Occidental High School Inter-Class Alumni Bowling Tournament."
The event was held at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex, Bacolod City.
The Globelines led by the comebacking, Noei Ta-ala sparked 1,550 pinfalls to regain the overall standing with a total production of 10,574.
Erstwhile topnotcher, Class '66 of Edgar Baldonado fell to second spot with 10,568 followed by Class '83 with 10,301 balls.
The other squads with their respective scores: Class '67, 10,190; Class '68, 10,145; Class '65, 10,135; Class '70, 9,828 and Class '71, 9,792.
Faculty leads Class B bracket with 10,037 balls. Other scores: Class '62, 9,881; Class '59, 9,835; Class '80, 9,753; Class '74, 9,670; Class '78. 9,375; Class '56, 9,284, and Class '89, 9,188, Class '73 record in team single and triple are intact at 584 and 1,619 pinfalls, respectively.
In the individual contest, Edgar Baldonado, of Class '66 is the highest triple record holder with 378 pintails; Dan Dadivas, of Class '65 booked the highest pinning mark with 95, and Cero Cordova, of Class '68 in singles with 158.
Celia Uberas of Class '67 and Eva Khubchand of Class '68 established the women's singles and triple at 144 and 330 pinfalls; as Mila Garaton booked the highest pinning mark at 94.
