Mayor's exec assistant gets new mission
EXECUTIVE Assistant to the mayor Romeo "Kodiak" Escalona has his newest mission: he is now in charge of the city's campaign on proper garbage disposal, aside from being a cluster head for Senior Citizens' Affairs where he once became controversial because of the unauthorized production of about 10,000 IDs for the city's senior citizens.
Escalona said he is now spearheading the team tasked by Mayor Evelio Leonardia to monitor the proper garbage disposal in the entire city.
"Those who will be caught disposing of their garbage not in the proper designated areas will be sanctioned based on a certain city ordinance," said Escalona.
First offense, he said the violator or violators would be brought to the police for record purposes and let the blotter report be used for broadcast consumption.
On the second offense, violators will be put in jail. The purpose of this, explained Escalona, is to awaken the Bacoleños' awareness for responsible garbage disposal. (EASD) |
