15 Bacolod journalists join workshop seminar

FIFTEEN media men, both from print and broadcast in Bacolod City are among the 46 journalists joining the Investigative Journalism Workshop: An In-Depth Reporting on SRHR to be held at the Island Cove Resort, Cavite on June 8 to 10.

The seminar will be at the auspices of Media Advocates for Reproductive Health and Empowerment and in cooperation with the National Union of Journalists in the Philippines, Incorporated and with the support of Philippine Legislators Committee on Population and Development Dawn Foundation.

Other participants will come also from Iloilo City, Cebu City, Dumaguete City, Tacloban City and Samar.

They will be taught on various topics involving investigative journalism.

Among the trainers include Jose Torres of ABS-CBN Manila, Carlos Conde of Herald Tribune and New York Times, Inday Espina-Varona of Philippine Graphic, Rowena Carranza-Para-an of Bulatlat.com and Leti Boniol of the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Representatives Jose Carlos Lacson of the 3rd District of Negros Occidental and Gilbert Remulla of Cavite will also grace the seminar.
